Why We Are Hiring for this Role

We are scaling rapidly in product offerings and geographies as we aim to train 200, 000+ knowledge workers by the year 2030. In order to serve these students, we need to increase the number and maintain the quality of our instructors, called Technical Mentors (TM). The Lead Technical Mentor (LTM) role is responsible for holding the TM’s accountable to delivering quality in the classroom while maintaining their own technical development. As a campus grows, an LTM will be responsible for managing Pod Leaders who manage smaller groups of TMs. The LTM is a critical role for Moringa’s ability to maintain quality as it grows.

What you will do

  • Ensure that student quality benchmarks are met and that students are learning and growing towards becoming software developers.

  • Manage classroom data tracking systems and communicate data to relevant stakeholders.

  • Document and communicate the status of the classroom to the HQ team.

  • Master all Technical Mentor responsibilities and processes to ensure quality is maintained

  • Create and maintain a positive Technical Mentor and classroom culture that is "student-centered" and focused on growth of both students and Technical Mentors.

  • Ensure the psychological safety of all academic staff as well as accountability for stated standards of Moringa School on campus during their introduction to Moringa School.

  • Liaise with the Campus Recruiter and Training Lead to ensure continued technical growth for all TM’s.

Who You Are 

  • 3+ years experience working in a project management environment. 

  • 2+ years experience professional coding. 

  • 2+ years in a management position.

  • Strong sense of how software developers grow and what excellence looks like

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong operational ability and demonstrated competence in organizing workstreams
