As Moringa School scales to different markets, we need a lead to provide the financial leadership and the vision necessary to ensure the team has proper systems, people and tools to grow the organization. You will provide leadership into ways of improving profitability, and analyze markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers or acquisitions. 

What You Will Do

Internal Controls and Accounting 

  • Build the organization’s capacity to manage its finances as it grows

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.

  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.

Financial Strategy, Analysis, Planning, Budgeting

  • Report financial performance, analysis and planning to the C-level executives and boards regularly.

  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner.

  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.

  • Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with an emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.

Who You Are

  • Analytical: You will review financial reports, monitor accounts, and prepare activity reports and financial forecasts..

  • Strategic:  You will provide financial leadership and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper financial controls, administrative and reporting procedures.

  • A great relationship manager: you will build relationships with the investor community and potential investors, you will also be the team's financial business partner.

What You Have

  •  At least 7 years of professional finance experience. 

  • Proven ability and demonstrable experience in creating financial models and business intelligence to support executives and directors.

  • A solid foundation in accounting and finance. 

  • Nice-to-Have: Capital Raise and Investor Relations experience.
