Mark Okinyo | Moringa School

Mark Okinyo has served Moringa School in a number of different capacities including Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Director, and finally as Kenya Campus Operations Director until January 2022. Mark describes himself as a passionate business executive with 8+ years of commercial experience in brand and marketing strategy, business operations and automation, experimentation, research methodologies, and business intelligence.

During his 3.5 years in Moringa, Mark steered the commercial wing of the business to deliver on a number of key successes that included:

  • The highest number of students enrolled in Moringa’s history for 3 years in a row
  • The Launch and commercial validation of the Data Science Full-time and Part-time Products
  • ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certification of Moringa School in 2022
  • Leading the successful Brand Audit, Definition, Implementation, and Relaunch of Moringa School in 2022
  • Successful Accreditation of Moringa School by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and TVETA
  • Operational effectiveness experiments that saw the classroom team and admissions record some of the highest student retention numbers and satisfaction scores

Prior to joining Moringa, Mark has had a multi-cultural experience working in the Digital Marketing Space with Pan-African startups in the fields of E-commerce, Online Classifieds, and Content with companies like Ringier Kenya, and Ringier One Africa Media (ROAM). He is a very technical but highly effective marketing professional that has a Bachelors of Technology in Information Technology.
