Amit Gandhia is a dual-qualified lawyer (Kenya and England) and managing partner at ICLTC – Kenya, specializing in Privacy, Cybersecurity, and EU data initiatives. With over 26 years in the legal sector, he is a certified Global Privacy Officer (ECPC-G), Certified International Privacy Professional (Europe), and Fellow of One Trust.
Amit trains Global Data Protection Officers at the European Centre for Privacy and Cybersecurity (Maastricht University) and recently completed an AI Governance program in the US. In Kenya, he is an accredited auditor with the Data Protection Commissioner and a Visiting Fellow at Maastricht University.
Course Details
This course covers all aspects required for a strong start in data protection. You will be taken through data protection fundamentals, get a deep dive into data protection laws, and discover best practices for managing personal data. Learners will also engage in practicals through weekly labs and projects.
Participants must be available online Mondays – Wednesdays from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm. This time is allocated for self-paced learning. A 2-hour instructor-led workshop will be delivered once a week on Fridays.
